The centrally depicted “Gooseman of Nuremberg” is taken from a figure in the Gänsemännchen Brunnen (Gooseman Fountain) which graces the courtyard of City Hall in Nuremberg. The statue of the Gooseman was cast in solid bronze by Pankraz Labenwolf in the 16th century.
